Palsall Village School and Ormiston Shelfield Academy

The pupils at Palsall Village School, who are linked with Ormiston Shelfield Academy have been getting stuck in with their #WeWillExplore project.

Jack and Grace out fundraising

For their BIG fundraising event, the pupils wanted to get out in their local community for a sponsored litter pick. The pupils ventured into local green spaces to clear rubbish, while shaking buckets to collect money from the community.

I enjoyed collecting the money in the bucket, shaking the tin and the kindness of the community. One man brought us drinks to say thank you for doing such a good job.” – Grace, Year 4

The pupils have also been building on their Geocaching skills, led by the students at Shelfield and Palsall Village grounds being mapped out by EnrichEducation.

To complete their project the pupils went to visit Ormiston Shelfield as part of a transition day. They took part in a fantastic geocaching event there, designed by the year 8 students.

I enjoyed going to Shelfield for the project.” – Jack, Year 4

Both the Year 4 and Year 8 pupils displayed passion and knoweldge around their project, evidencing the passions and skill’s they have developed through taking part in youth social action.
