Abuse against her...

Students from Gateway Learning Community Trust, have been discussing issues they are passionate about changing through youth social action. Using poetry, Jasmine and Oliver have decided to focus on abuse against women, and how, even through the smallest of exchanges, can make a lasting negative effect.

He saunters freely knowing he doesn’t,
Have to worry for his access to rights.
She wanders meekly knowing his eyes are
Assaulting the skin She couldn’t cover.

He mocks the body she can’t help having
He brushes it off with that sick, sick laugh.
But he’ll never get how much that punch stung
For it was too late, for him to see or care.

But one day. One day. When he sees the tears
Of his daughter that are shed by the boys
He used to be.
Then he will grasp the fear….
