Mary Savva

#WeWill programme staff lead

I have primarily developed and worked with children, adolescents and vulnerable communities in various social sites and environments, crossing genres and cross-pollinating with other creative media. I am interested in community dance making, somatics and re-appraising ideas on what dance is and can be; I recently contributed to a new book (Re) claiming Ballet – edited by Dr Adesola Akinleye.
Critical to my work as an educator and practitioner are the ideas that dance links the physical and emotional self with others and that self-expression through movement is a necessary form of communication and social change.

Alice Scott

Acting and Musical Theatre teacher & #WeWill support

I have always believed that working with and supporting young people has been the most fundamental part of my job, and I truly believe that the younger generations are able to change the world for the better. By listening to these young people, we can help shape their futures and learn from their wisdom. Moving forward, I am so excited and honoured to be part of the #WeWill project, as it is vital that we allow our young people the opportunities to undertake social action and make a change to the world they will inherit.
